Voice searches are usually made for the local searches. And the queries used in this regard are based on long tailed keywords.
  2. With 70% of the local searches made from mobiles, you will need to shift your focus from desktop to mobile. With that fact that the performance of your website wouldn’t be affected in desktop if you shift your focus to mobile, you get an opportunity to make early optimizations to make a head start before your competitors realize the true potential of mobile internet.
  3. Instead of generating links to and from the big global corporations, first find the local resources and link your website with them. It would be a great way to drive local traffic to your website. Here, it doesn’t mean that linking to the big players isn’t going to be beneficial, but this tactic will require great amount of time before you start getting reasonable amount of traffic on your website.
  4. Don’t ever underestimate the importance of local citation websites. For instance, if you have not registered your website in Google My business while you want to get your website ranked locally, you are not going to get major success. Similarly, a platform like Yelp is the ideal one to make your website more reputable.
  5. Optimize your website for the searches that include ‘near me’. Since there no big competition going on in this scenario, most of the businesses aren’t using this ‘store locator’ option to its true potential. Still they are getting results enough to get their businesses to get on top. If you are going to optimize your website for these searches with every search possibility, you are likely to dominate impressively.
